Rebecca Black's Friday
When I read somewhere that some unknown named Rebecca Black had a song that was in the running for worst song of all time I had to check it out. Now being a music lover with a keen understanding that it takes all types and what appeals to my ear may not to others and vice versa, I don't want to be too harsh on Miss. Black and her song Friday. Instead I will bite my tongue and not refer to Friday as "the worst fucking piece of burnt camel shit ever" and instead just say, it wasn't for me.

Vampire Weekend > Cousins
When you hear Cousins you may be tempted to think that the Vampire Weekend you fell in love with are back with the same catchy tunes that were the soundtrack of you life for that one summer. Well, I guess you're right. Uh, okay then... gee, I really thought I had a point to make there.

Califone > All My Friends Are Funeral Singers
All My Friends Are Funeral Singers is the album slash soundtrack for Califone's film of the same name. I haven't seen the film yet but the album itself is absolutely terrific and one of the few goo things to come out of the so-so music scene of 2009.
